Sunday's report that former Bills quarterback Jim Kelly does not need chemotherapy or radiation to further treat the cancer found in his jaw that led to surgery to remove part of the jaw earlier this month has been confirmed by Kelly himself.
Kelly met the media Monday at the opening of his football camp and said that doctors have told him that the surgery was a success in terms of removing all traces of cancer.

Redskins fullback Eric Kettani is now Navy Lieutenant Eric Kettani.
Kettani, who played his college football at Navy, has committed to serving six more years in the Navy reserves. He was promoted to Lieutenant on Monday in a ceremony at the team's practice facility, attended by his teammates and coaches.
“It’s an honor for me,” Kettani said, via CSNWashington.com.

The National Football League has lost one of its legends. Hall of Fame defensive end David "Deacon" Jones has died at the age of 74.
Washington Redskins General Manager Bruce Allen relayed the news via the team's official website. Jones died of natural causes at his home in Southern California.
